Jamie O’ Sullivan joined Rosslare in 2016 and celebrates over twenty five years of experience as a Professional. Jamie began his golfing career playing his Junior days at the scenic McKenzie designed Cork Golf Club. With Golf being in his blood he went on to pursue his Professional career working in fabulous Clubs such as Portmarnock, Ballybunion, Fota Island and eventually served as Head Professional for eight years at Charleville Golf Club before taking up the role at Rosslare Golf Club.
Jamie’s wealth of experience and love of Links Golf endeared him to Rosslare Golf Links. The Proshop is well stocked with all the Leading brands and the stock is always current. You will find everything from the latest Golf Fashions to Wet Gear, Electric Trollies, Golf Balls, GPS devices and of course Rosslare memorabilia. Jamie is a TGI partner which ensures that he is extremely competitive in his prices and always has great offers in store.
Proshop Staff
Jamie O’ Sullivan is the Head PGA Professional and gained his PGA qualification in 2001 following his apprenticeship at Portmarnock Golf Club under Joey Purcell.
Jamie has always endeavoured to keep up to date with the latest in Golf technologies and skills through workshops, conferences, CPD courses and online learning platforms. Jamie gained a Director of Golf Certificate through the PGA and also holds qualifications in Trackman level 1&2 and Capto Precision Putting level 1&2. He is also qualified as Snag and Colour path Golf Coach, and a qualified custom
fitter for Ping and Taylormade. Jamie is also involved at different levels through the club and has sat on numerous committees during his tenure at the club such as Greens, Marketing, Health & Safety and the annual Pro Am.

Golf Lessons
Jamie has a great passion for teaching and enjoys teaching golfers of all ages and abilities. Individual and group lessons are available throughout the year in the comfort of his indoor studio. Jamie uses the latest in modern teaching technology with V1 Video Analysis, Capto Putting System and a Trackman Launch Monitor. Jamie likes nothing better than to see his pupils enjoy and benefit from his golf lessons. His coaching philosophy is to keep things very simple and make sure that each customer understands clearly how they can improve their own unique style to improve and enjoy their game more.
Group Coaching
At Rosslare there are great programs for new golfers to learn the game such as “Ladies & Men Get Into Golf Programs”. This course is fantastic for anyone who may wish to try Golf and may feel a bit apprehensive about it. You will be in a group of likeminded individuals and the only criteria for participation is that you wish to try something new, like having a good laugh (at each other) and wouldn’t mind making a few more friends!! Jamie runs coaching sessions and provides any equipment required and the members then bring you onto the course to get you started. We always go into the clubhouse for a coffee after each season and we would love you to join us!!
You will also learn some simple rules and golf etiquette to help you feel comfortable and confident about getting onto the course This is always an incredibly fun course and generally happens at the beginning of spring each year. Rosslare is always excited to introduce new people to Golf and indeed our Club.
Junior Coaching
There is also extensive Junior Coaching throughout the year where Jamie will keep a keen eye on the progress of our Juniors. These sessions are always kept informal and hopefully great fun!!
Junior Camps are held during Easter and are ongoing through the Summer Months. They are open to boys and girls who live locally or those on their holidays. Please see our social media channels for upcoming camps and Junior classes.

Jamie is a certified Club Fitter and with the aid of his Trackman and Custom Fitting carts from leading suppliers (Ping, Tayormade & Callaway) He will fit you for your optimum Club or set. As a TGI partner Jamie’s prices are very keen and you can try before you buy!!
